Now Vol. 3,152 released to universal acclaim

Music News: The 3,152 edition of the long-running Now That’s What I Call Music! series has been released, to almost universal acclaim from music fans and the recording industry.

“Sometimes we think the future of our label is pretty bleak,” said a spokesman for EMI records. “Then a new Now! album comes out and turns around the entire fortune of the music industry. Thank God people are still buying these compilations.”

Now! fans have reportedly been queueing outside record shops for over 48 hours before the release.

“My father religiously bought the Now! compilations, as did his father before him. It’s a family tradition that I’m proud to be part of,” said music fan Donald Sutherland.

“I’ve been camped outside this branch of HMV for the last couple of nights. I’m pretty sure some people in the queue have died from exposure, but it’s a risk I’m happy to take. It’s the only top 40 compilation I’m willing to die for. ”
