UK Border Agency boosts ranks with 20,000 cardboard cutouts

Immigration News: After recent criticism from a select committee, the UK Border Agency has vowed to increase staff numbers with 20,000 cardboard cutouts – including John Wayne and the cast of Twilight.

“The cutouts will be placed around airports and other key places of immigration, with the intention of making passengers feel more secure,” said the immigration minister, Damian Green. “It’ll also bring a touch of Hollywood glamour to the UK shores.”

As well as addressing problems with low staff levels, it is also hoped the cutouts will boost morale, currently at an all time low.

“They’ll make coming to work fun again for Border Agency officers,” said Green. “Who wouldn’t want to do a shift with a cardboard Captain Jack Sparrow? Let’s make deportation fun again!”
