War Horse ruins BAFTA red carpet

Movie News: It was meant to be an evening of glamour and celebration, but one of the horses from the Steven Spielberg film War Horse ruined the red carpet at the BAFTA awards ceremony last night, shaming the entire British film industry.

The horse, who plays the character of Joey, was said to have been looking unsteady as it made its way down the red carpet – until it got near actress Penelope Cruz.

The horse then began spraying hot wet manure from its anus, ruining both the red carpet and the Spanish actress’s Armani dress.

“I don’t know if the British film industry can truly ever recover from this,” said BAFTA spokesman Dominic Quiché.

“We’ve worked so hard to raise the profile of British film over the years, but all it takes is a horse with a dodgy bumhole to undo everything we’ve achieved.”

A spokesman for the horse says it that was ‘profoundly sorry’ about the incident and blamed it on ‘nerves’.
