OMG! It’s Peaches Geldof. In space. For 25 yrs.

TV News: ITV bosses announced today that they are already recommissioning ‘OMG! With Peaches Geldof’ – for the longest running second series in TV history.

‘OMG! It’s Peaches Geldof in space!’ will run for 25 years as Peaches orbits the earth in a specially-constructed spaceship rigged with TV cameras so that viewers can watch her every move.

Peaches says she’s ‘overjoyed’ and is already undergoing psychological training to cope with the isolation.

“Basically I’m going to watch loads and loads of TV,” she said today, “and be on the internet loads, and chatting to people on my live web feed loads, and tweeting loads and updating my Facebook page loads – status: in space, status update: still in space – stuff like that. I’m going to be really busy!”

“It’s like Big Brother meets 2001: A Space Odyssey,” says head of programming Peter Fincham. “Or Prisoner Cell Block H meets Solaris.”

“We’ll blast her off into space with a big launch party and there she’ll be, a star in the true meaning of the word, for 25 years.”

“In year 5, she’ll receive a two-week visit from Kerry Catona.”

“In year 15, she’ll receive a 5-day visit from David Guest.”

“Apart from that she’ll be on her own with just some plants and some space biscuits. We’re also going to put a homicidal robot on board – but she doesn’t know about that yet. Surprise!”
