Cameron is the new face of L’Oreal

It’s been billed as Cameron’s first chance to sit down with Obama and talk about Afghanistan, but it was the British electorate in a state of shock and awe this morning as Cameron revealed he was also in Washington to film an advert – as the new face of L’Oreal.

“The concept is the 1950’s corridors of power,” Cameron told journalists “Cigars, black and white, wonderful suits. Russel Crowe is going to play Dwight D. Eisenhower. He’s going to chase me down a steamy pavement.”

While austerity measures around Whitehall have forced many MPs to take up second jobs, Cameron’s move into cosmetics has caused consternation within the coalition government. Despite, the Prime Minister is said to be delighted with the £5 million-a-year deal and reportedly assuaged doubters around the cabinet table by delivering a devilish Zoolander style hair flick and mouthing the words “because I am worth it” repeatedly at a dumbfounded Vince Cable.

Cameron, 43, has long been ‘troubled’ by the boyish good-looks of his coalition colleagues Nick Clegg, 12, and George Osborne, 14. Now the PM is convinced that his new role as a style icon will not only re-brand him as the most ‘youthful’, but will put a new exuberance into his office as well: L’Oreal have created a new ‘No.10’ product range especially for the campaign.

“It’s an amazing cream,” Cameron enthused, “it completely transforms tired skin, removes wrinkles and gets rid of those bags under your eyes. With No.10 to protect you, nobody need know the truth.”
