No go for go-slow

A GO-SLOW, planned hurriedly by quick-thinking
truckers as a new low-speed protest about the governments
slow-mo response over fast-rising fuel prices, got off to
a slow start yesterday when the leading lorry set off far
too quickly.
I dont know what happened,
said Bill Slocombe, trucker 'numero uno' and organiser of
the go-slow. As it turned out, I just didnt feel
like going slow that day.
Fast-brained fellow truckers were quick to
call Bill on the radio and tell him to woah up
a little bit, but to no avail. Eventually the convoy let Bill
speed off into the distance while they continued the protest
at the pre-agreed pace nice and slow.
In an unrelated incident in Brussels yesterday
a sit-down protest came to a standstill, when one of the protestors
accidentally stood up for his rights.
