Speak Easy job cuts
PUBLISHERS of The Poke, Speak Easy Media, last
night announced that due to a slump in the demand for laughter
caused by September 11th, which led to pre-tax losses of 73p,
they will be laying off 13,000 comedy writers from their factory
in Kidderminster. Astounded Comedy Union Officials today said,
“Why did the chicken cross the road?”
