James Blunt had the perfect response when James Blake was wrongly credited with ‘You’re Beautiful’
Crown prince of Twitter James Blunt had the perfect response when another singer called James – James Blake – was wrongly credited with his song (you’ve probably heard it) You’re Beautiful.
Blunt has previously talked about the song – which sold 4 million copies and went to number one in 10 countries – as being ‘force-fed down people’s throats’ and made him look like an ‘insanely serious person’.
It’s a reputation he spends most of his time on Twitter trying to shed.
So it started when Kiss FM (not that one, this one’s in the Bahamas) tweeted this.
#OnThisDay in 2006, @jamesblake topped the Billboard Hot 100 with his single "You're Beautiful". Watch the video here: https://t.co/yNb8BueRqe

James Blake spotted the schoolboy error and decided to join in.
Hi it’s me – the singer of ‘You’re Beautiful’ https://t.co/He2x7tZG6k
