A Tory MP had a racist rant about the German Airbus CEO and these 22 takedowns came flying in
Conservative MP Mark Gino Francois is a staunch Brexiter, so it’s hardly surprising if he doesn’t like the idea of anything getting in the way of the UK leaving the EU. What is surprising is that he thought it was okay to launch into a tirade against the CEO of Airbus that focused mainly on the fact that he’s German.
His complaint against Tom Enders stemmed from the aeronautical company boss having warned that he would have to put his company first in the event of a no-deal Brexit, including taking Airbus out of the UK.
This is how Mark Francois reacted.
"My father was a D-Day veteran, he never submitted to bullying by any German. Neither will his son"

We’re not sure why he thought referencing the war was a good idea, and neither were these people.

This person is an MP. Airbus and associated supply chain supports over 100,000 jobs in the UK. Aerospace is one of the most important sectors of our economy, delivering the sort of high-skilled, high value jobs we need to prosper in the 21st Century. He’d rather re-run the 20th. https://t.co/E3RtI0DuwQ

Time to grow up Mark Francois. You are an MP for the governing party of this country, not a Top Gear presenter. This jingoistic anti-German rhetoric does nothing but trash our reputation in the world. https://t.co/chl8JDH5yX

There are 27 nations in the rest of the EU.
24 of them fought against Germany in WW2, and all 24 think Brexit is fucking stupid too. https://t.co/gY69oKhlX4
