Amazon wouldn’t post this devastating book review, so we did it for them
Writer and broadcaster Adam Rutherford – you might have heard or seen him on the BBC – was frustrated in his efforts to post his review of a new book about Darwin.
Pah. Amazon won’t let me post this review of An Wilson’s Darwin book. pic.twitter.com/Mh661nyt9B

Which is a shame, because it’s quite a devastating takedown of the book described by another critic as an ‘unconvincing attempt to kick Darwin off his throne’.
Rutherford says a similar sort of thing, but in rather livelier language. Here it is in full.
So it’s not ALL bad then.

UPDATE
He later tweeted to say he’d find a way of putting it up.
I’m going to try it without ‘batshit’.
— Dr Adam Rutherford (@AdamRutherford) September 7, 2017
Good plan. If in doubt, take out the batshit.

Shame AN Wilson didn’t do that.

Hurrah, it’s up on Amazon now, sans guano.
