Just watching this guy try to conquer his fear of heights gave us sweaty palms
So this chap thought it would help conquer his fear of heights by staring over the edge of a bloody great cliff.
Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. YouTuber Alex took this video of her dad peering over the rocky cliffs of Dún Aonghasa in Galway in the west of Ireland.
Don’t know about you, but our head’s spinning just watching him. Get away from the edge, you idiot!
“To be fair… that’s the fear someone SHOULD have that close to death. People are way too casual around heights,” said Martinaee on YouTube.
Apparently it’s something called ‘call of the void’ which sounds a whole lot sexier than plain old ‘vertigo’. We’re glad we’re not the only ones who have it.
“It’s something your brain and body absolutely do not want to happen,” says Bill Barnes.
“Consciousness is a tricky thing, and sometimes we can rebel against ourselves. I have a pretty healthy fear of heights, and that feeling comes sometimes where you almost feel like “F-CK IT JUST FALL ALREADY” to get that shitty feeling over. Never would, but it’s strange.”
