This video of holidaymakers rushing to put their towels on a sun lounger will leave you pining for a staycation

This will strike a chord with anyone who has turned up to the hotel swimming pool to find a towel on EVERY sun bed.

Except we’ve never seen people quite so keen as this lot to bag their spot at a hotel in Gran Canaria. Sad.

Look at the length of the queue. Of people waiting to put their towels down before going back to bed.

“People wait for the swimming pool to open. They walk in and go for a swim, is what you expect. But no: they just drop their towel on a bed and … return to their mobile home, not to come back within a couple of hours.”
