The internet reacts to the news that Ron Howard is now directing the Han Solo movie
Ron Howard, best known for playing Richie Cunningham in Happy Days and narrating Arrested Development is taking over as producer on the Han Solo movie.
This is a surprise move after the original directors Kennedy and Kasdan were dumped by Disney for making the film too “comedic”.
“I’m beyond grateful to add my voice to the Star Wars Universe after being a fan since 5/25/77. I hope to honor the great work already done & help deliver on the promise of a Han Solo film.” writes @Realronhoward.
But unsurprisingly the internet has both jokes and opinions.
One good Simpsons joke

A certain amount of anxiety
Box office of Lord & Miller's last four films: $1.2 billion
Box office of Ron Howard's last four (non doc.) films: $482 millionOK, sure.

But maybe to be fair?
There's a strain of film crit that reveres reliable craftsmen if they're dead but devalues its living practitioners (like Ron Howard).
