Teenage boys wear skirts to school in protest at ‘no shorts’ policy
A bunch of schoolboys have become the latest people to swap their long trousers for skirts in protest at not being allowed to wear shorts in the hot weather.
Pupils at a school in Exeter borrowed skirts from friends and sisters and dozens turned up for lessons in skirts in Thursday.
Some kids were taking it extra seriously and shaving their legs for the occasion.
This is what one mum had to say.
“My 14-year-old son wanted to wear shorts. The headteacher told them: ‘Well, you can wear a skirt if you like’ – but I think she was being sarcastic.
“However, children tend to take you literally, and because she told them it was OK, there was nothing she could do as long as they are school skirts.”

They join a growing list – well, three at the last count – of people donning skirts in protest at bans on shorts, including this bloke in a call centre and these French truck drivers.
