Blimey, Piers Morgan appears to have done something people like after he asked culture secretary Karen Bradley the same question 15 times on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
He still didn’t get an answer. Here are those questions in full.
1.
“Do we have more or fewer armed police than we did in 2010?”
2.
“Can you answer the question?”
3.
“Do we have, let me just ask you…”
4.
“Let me ask you a simple question – do we have more or fewer armed police than in 2010?”
5.
“Do we have more or fewer armed police than we had in 2010?”
6.
“Can you please just answer the question please?”
7.
“I’m simply asking, I would like to ask you one more time, I want a straight answer.”
8.
“I will try one more time. Do we have more of fewer armed police than when Theresa May become home secretary in 2010?”
9.
“More or less?”
10.
“Do we have more or fewer armed police than we had in 2010?”
11.
“Why can’t you answer a straight question?”
12.
“Either you are embarrassed by the answer or you simply don’t know, which one is it?”
13.
“Just finally, do you know if the number of armed police in this country has gone up or down in the last six years, do you know the answer?”
14.
“Is there any reason why you can’t answer the question?”
15.
“So you just don’t want to answer?”
No, it turned out, she didn’t. Watch it kick off here.
Or listen to the whole thing here.
Bradley didn’t do much better when she appeared on Radio 4’s Today.
Despite all Morgan’s questions (or rather, question), the culture secretary was only truly lost for words when she was asked a question by his co-presenter, Susanna Reid.
She was really in the Thick of It.
Ah, it takes us right back. Remember this?
Just watched Piers Morgan skewer that Karen Bradley. I think that's the first time I've ever been impressed by him as a journalist.
