There might be some problems with the Conservatives new election poster
The Conservatives unveiled a new election poster today (borrowing from their 1992 campaign, because the ’90s and bombs are back in fashion now). Here’s the poster…
And here’s Brexit secretary David Davis standing in front of it…
I'm not convinced the Conservatives thought this poster launch through. pic.twitter.com/lkHmuhovui

Finally. Honesty from the Conservatives. (via @AdamBienkov) pic.twitter.com/EK52EcfXTX

Seems Davis missed the episode of The Thick Of It which shows why it’s a bad idea for politicians to stand in front of big signs.
The Brexit secretary joins such illustrious ranks as Boris Johnson…
…Ed Balls
…Nigel Farage
…David Cameron
…and Jeremy Corbyn.
Unfortunate backdrop to Jeremy Corbyn Durham speech. Looks like MADNESS is giant neon letters #Labourleadership pic.twitter.com/Y41mCFhCIj

And aside from the cropped slogan, there were some other issues:

Not sure this poster entirely works. Will there be bombs or won't there? Do I want them for my family or not? pic.twitter.com/tKPSVvJ7XQ

@AdamBienkov It doesn’t work. Sends mixed messages. Many families might be keen for a few less bombs.
