Boris Johnson called Jeremy Corbyn a “mutton-headed old mugwump” and it’s been trending on Twitter ever since.

Here’s the so-called foreign secretary being asked about the phrase, which he first used in a column in the Sun, on Radio 4’s Today programme this morning.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines a mugwump as someone who remains aloof or independent, especially politically.
