Russia banned people from sharing this picture of Vladimir Putin. So you can imagine what everyone’s doing

This picture of Vladimir Putin in lipstick and mascara against a rainbow backdrop has been banned in Russia as “extremist”.

The Putin-as-a-gay-clown meme first appeared after Russia introduced a “gay propaganda” law in 2013.

Now it has been made illegal, everyone is sharing it as fast as social media will let them.
