Forget about microwaves and smart TVs – now vibrators are spying on us

It turns out bluetooth enabled vibrators are not such a smart idea after all.

A sex toy maker will pay customers up to £6,000 each after admitting a “smart vibrator” recorded their owners’ use without their knowledge. We’re not making this up.

The bluetooth connected vibrator, called We-Vibe 4 Plus, secretly logged how warm customers liked to have their device and how rapidly they liked it to vibrate.

It also had such a rubbish app that it “allowed anyone within bluetooth range to seize control of the device”, reports the Guardian.

Sounds terrifying.
