Tom Hiddleston finds out what Hollywood stars look like when you humblebrag
The Night Manager star Tom Hiddleston has apologised after he was criticised for “humblebragging” in his Golden Globes acceptance speech.
It turns out Tom does a lot of work for charity and – yes – he does quite like to talk about it. Hiddleston later said he was “very nervous and my words just came out wrong”.
Here’s Vince Vaughn, just around the moment Hiddleston is telling how aid workers in South Sudan used to binge-watch The Night Manager to take their minds off the shelling.
“The idea that we could provide some relief and entertainment for people …” Here’s Christian Slater.
“… made me immensely proud.” And finally, Naomie Harris.
You can listen to his speech here – and check out the stars’ reaction – from around the 1m 40secs mark.

It’s not often that stars’ acceptances speeches come in for criticism, still less that actors later apologise for them.
Never mind, Tom. It’s not as if you went the full Paltrow, is it?
Or Titanic director James “I’m the king of the world!” Cameron.
Or Angelina Jolie. She loves her brother. Really loves him.
