Boy, girl or … Wookiee? Mum wears Chewbacca mask giving birth

No, it’s not leaked footage from the next Star Wars movie – that really would be something of a departure from the previous films – but a woman giving birth in a Chewbacca mask.

Mum Katie Stricker Curtis put on the mask while giving birth to her son Kylo, no, Luke, no, Finn, no Anakin … okay, okay, the baby is called Jayden.

“Just because I’m about to be a mom doesn’t mean I have to grow up!” she said. “Never take life too seriously!” Right.

It’s the first time contraction pains have been translated into the Wookiee language of Shyriiwook, it is safe to assume, the mask made famous by “Chewbacca mom” – a different mum – last year.
