Great-grandma finds she’s accidentally been praying to a Lord of the Rings figurine for years

A woman in Brazil has spent years praying to a Lord of the Rings figurine under the mistaken impression it was St Anthony – who is somewhat ironically the patron saint for the recovery of lost items.

The Mirror reports that the mishap was discovered by the woman’s great-grandaughter Gabriela Brandão, who posted images of the figurine on Facebook with the caption “My great-grandmother prays to this Saint Anthony every day…. But look closer”

Gabriela has apprently since found a genuine St Anthony figurine for her great-grandmother, so wee little Elrond can go back in the cupboard.
