People in Leamington Spa created a shrine next to a packet of biscuits dropped in the street
Hugh Osborn shared these deeply emotional pictures of a shrine in Leamington Spa that was created after someone dropped a pack of digestives in the street.
Somebody dropped a pack of Digestives on our road. It's now amassed a shrine including daffodils, a candle & a note… pic.twitter.com/gEbaoP6O6H

But it didn’t end there. The shrine kept growing.
UPDATE: The daffodils are gone but tributes continue to be left for the fallen digestives

By this morning the #LeamingtonDigestives shrine looked like this. I fear the worst now the rain has come though… pic.twitter.com/1IONiEuN2Y — Hugh Osborn (@HughO2) April 15, 2016
As is often the case with deaths on social media, a hastag was quickly born. #LeamingtonDigestives meant others could also offer their sincere condolences, and ask some very important questions.

@HughO2, there seem to be progressively fewer #LeamingtonDigestives each time. Is someone, or something, getting peckish?

@Raphaelite_Girl @HughO2 We should go, H. Pay our respects. I’ve never met a chocolate digestive I didn’t like.
