This cat has now been promoted to management at Huddersfield train station

Huddersfield station’s resident cat Felix has been given a promotion, complete with a high-vis vest and a name badge, reports the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.

Felix has been busy capturing both mice and commuter’s hearts for the past five years, and has now been named the railway station’s Senior Pest Controller. She was brought in back in 2011 when she was just a nine-week-old kitten to keep the platforms free of mice and other vermin, and is now so popular she has her own Facebook page.

Felix also has having her own cat door installed in the station’s ticket barriers. Typical management privileges.

Here’s Felix eating a biscuit, which was possibly part of the improved pay package she negotiated as her part of her promotion.

Delays reported to the 0640 Airport service. Not to worry.
