Policeman helps sloth cross the road
A sloth in Ecuador has become an overnight phenomenon after pictures of it clinging to a pole were posted on Facebook, reports CNN.
The Transit Commission of Ecuador first drew attention to the sloth late last week, when they posted pictures of the sloth trying to cross the road. An officer with the Transit Commission rescued it.

The Commission have since added an update saying that that the sloth got checked out by a vet after being rescued and was “determined that it was in optimal conditions to return to its habitat”. So all’s well that ends well, albeit very slowly.
