The Poke guide to fox hunting

This week, braying no-chins across the country came close to wetting themselves when they learned the government was planning on amending the Hunting Act (2004) to let them use full packs of dogs when ‘flushing out’ a fox.

Full of swagger after the election and the budget, the government proposed to amend the act to bring it in line with the law in Scotland. Just to point out the government that they’ve only just got a functioning majority, and have even less of one than John Major’s hamstrung administration, the SNP decided to oppose the move. Although they’ve never opposed it, you know, in Scotland.

Facing off against the might of 58 Scottish MPs, Cameron sounded the retreat and scuttled back into his hole. From which we can only use two dogs to flush him out.

Anyway, if you found the political shenanigans confusing here’s The Poke Guide to Fox Hunting, by Nathaniel Tapley.
