‘Cat library’ lets stressed workers borrow a cat for the day

US government employees in New Mexico have a ‘cat library’ that let workers borrow a kitten during the workday to help deal with office stress, reports the Las Cruces Sun News.

Since 2012, employees have been able to check kittens out of the Kitty Kondo and then return to work with the company of a furry, mewling pal, reports People.

The cats come from a local shelter, and the library was set up to try and help find them permanent homes – so far over 100 cats have been adopted.

CBS Evening News recently paid a visit to the cat library.
