Watermelon-Headed Man Causes Terror On The Tube
A man was spotted on the underground in Beijing wearing a mask carved out of a watermelon, reports the Mirror.
The man was dubbed ‘Watermelon brother’ after pictures of him on the train were uploaded to Weibo, the Chinese social network.
Shanghaiist reports this chilling account from one terrified passenger:
“It was so scary last night when I was on the metro. This guy was just hanging around on the train wearing a watermelon mask, with a beer bottle and a baijiu bottle in his two hands!! Apparently he was totally drunk.”
After confirming with a couple of witnesses, Beijing Metro staff reported the watermelon-masked man to police. Soon after, officers tracked him down and took him aside for questioning. They presumably asked him to stop being so seedy.
