Christmas Beards Are A Thing

Hot on the heels of Xmas jumpers comes CHRISTMAS BEARDS – a festive fashion trend which is set to take hirsute hipsters by storm this yuletide season. 

The festive facial fashion project is the brainchild of visual artist Katya Wildman from North London who was specially commissioned to create a uniquely seasonal take on the Shoreditch beard trend.

Katya spent six hours creating four distinctive designs in a photography project created with the new Samsung Galaxy Note Edge phone ahead of its launch on Friday.

Her collection includes The Reverse Christmas Tree, The Iceman Cometh, Festive Birds Nest and Mistletoe Madness.  Each features some of her favourite seasonal staples including a Christmas tree, robin red breast, mistletoe, glitter, snow and icicles.

A quirky beard accessory created by an ad agency for its tongue-in-cheek Christmas cards has also become an unexpected hit.

Beard Baubles were designed for Grey London’s hirsute members of staff to wear in the company’s Christmas card – reports ITV.

Designers Pauline Ashford and Mike Kennedy were so pleased with the results they decided to sell the baubles for charity.
