British Weather Makes Chit-Chat With Strangers 250% Easier, Study Shows

Weather News: British meteorologists have confirmed that recent weather patterns have made it 250% easier to chit-chat with people at bus stops or in supermarket queues.

“The British have always relied on our weather for 90% of conversations with strangers, and the unusual weather patterns we’ve been experiencing in recent years have made that chit-chat even easier,” said Met Office head Professor Dennis Pluie.

“The UK could be in the middle of a 10 to 20-year cycle of wet summers, which means that chit-chat will be remarkably easy for the next decade at least,” said Professor Pluie.

“We have seen similar patterns before – such as in the 1950s – but back then people could idly chat to strangers about the end of rationing as well as how unpredictable the weather was. If we do not take urgent action now, we face an entire generation who only know easy weather-based banter with people in queues.”
