New Eddie Murphy Film To Be Released Into Landfill

Movie News: The Hollywood studio behind Eddie Murphy’s latest film has confirmed it will skip cinemas, blu-ray and on-demand, and instead be released directly into a giant landfill.

“The threat of online piracy and falling attendance figures in cinemas has forced Hollywood to take further cost cutting steps,” said Chad Wolfstein, the studio head behind Murphy’s latest film, Cop Without A Butt.

“So instead of spending all that money on promotion and distribution costs, we’re just going to release this film into a gigantic landfill site in New Mexico.”

Acclaimed director Steven Spielberg has hailed the new distribution method as ‘innovative and brave’ – while Eddie Murphy himself said he was pleased with the decision.

“To be honest it’s getting better distribution than my film Meet Dave got,” said the actor. “I heard that they dumped all the DVD’s of that over the side of a ship in the middle of the Atlantic.”
