‘Saffron 4 Cash’ Site Helps Middle Class Foodies Short Of Money

Spice news: A new website buying the expensive spice saffron has launched, aimed at middle class foodies who find themselves short of cash.

The website promises to buy any spare saffron the foodies may have over-bought – either while on a gastro-centric holiday in Spain, or in a moment of recklessness in their local ethnic grocery shop.

“We’re tapping into a new, previously undiscovered market,” said Saffron 4 Cash founder Tony Pampalasa.

“By weight saffron is more expensive than gold, so cash strapped foodies who might have got a bit carried away after reading Yotam Ottolenghi’s latest column in The Guardian magazine can now sell their spare saffron to us for some cold, hard cash.”

“Saffron nearly ruined my life,” said financially crippled foodie Julian Sabor.

“Just what I was thinking when I bulk bought all that saffron is beyond me – thank God Saffron 4 Cash was here to help me out before I defaulted on my mortgage payments!”
