Worker At Youth Club Ready To Impress With 2Pac Anecdote

Anecdote News: A thirty-three-year-old worker at a youth club is ready to impress teenagers with an anecdote about him meeting rapper Tupac Shakur when he was 17.

Richard Rakonto met the rapper a year before his death in 1996 while he was on a family holiday in Miami, Florida. Rakonto says that since he’s worked at the youth centre he’s been ready to impress the teenagers, but so far none of them have mentioned Tupac or any other hip-hop stars to him.

“I know they’ll be impressed when I tell them I’ve met him. Then they’ll see me for the cool guy I am, and not some stuffed shirt. I just need them to talk to me about hip-hop first otherwise it will seem forced – this kind of bragging needs to be organic.”

Rakonto says he has even tried directing conversations around to the topic, but has not successfully managed it yet.

“The other week one of them was talking about the rivalry between Liverpool and Everton – when they mentioned that, I said ‘Hey, that reminds me of another great rivalry – the one between East coast and West coast rappers in the 1990’s’. They just looked at me like I was an idiot.”
