TV News: The thick green gas seen in the 1960’s Batman TV series has been brought in as a last minute replacement for Jim Davidson on Celebrity Big Brother.
“When Jim was forced to pull out of Celebrity Big Brother we had to find a last minute replacement that was as equally toxic, unpleasant and guaranteed not to raise a laugh,” said a spokesman for TV production company Endemol.
“The green gas from Batman seemed like the perfect substitute – I doubt many will even notice the difference.”
The cloud of gas, which was often released by various villains in the Batman TV series, has had a patchy career since the show finished in 1968.
Its last role was a minor part in the 2009 film Avatar – where it had to be digitally altered from green to blue.
“So far the cloud has filled in for Jim perfectly,” said a BB source. “Like Jim it just hangs around clogging up the room, doesn’t do anything interesting and makes people feel deeply uncomfortable.”
