News on Twitter is that it’s possible Google refused to supply maps to iOS6, not sure how true this is though
@dave: Obviously not, google makes many many dollars on iOS maps, they even said they’d provide it for LESS, and apple refused. Apple has been buying up mapping companies for years, this gamble has been a long time coming. That being said, apple maps will probably get better, but google maps has at least a 10 year head start.
