Cash Converters report record increase in bronze medals

Pawn News: High Street pawn shop Cash Converters has reported a massive surge in the trade of used bronze medals.

“Our branches in London have reported a massive surge in people buying and selling bronze medals,” said David Patrick, CEO of Cash Converters.

“Now the games are over, everybody wants a memento – while most athletes are now after some quick cash so they can afford to get the bus home.”

Cash Converters have also reported stores are being overwhelmed by people trying to buy giant foam fingers.

“Clearly a lot of people missed out on the opportunity to buy a commemorative giant foam finger during the Olympics and that’s a decision they are now starting to regret,” said Patrick.

“I imagine these foam fingers will be passed down from generation to generation and will be highly sought after by collectors in years to come – and that’s why we can justify selling them for £69.99.”
