What’s the most ridiculous thing you would do for your cat?

Cat News: A cinema that specializes in providing audio-visual entertainment for cats opened in Las Vegas today, part of a growing industry dedicated to ‘feline pampering’.

Cat cinema opens in VegasDogs have had it real good for a long time now,” says owner and cat-pampering entrepreneur Hayley Right.

Your dog can get a massage, go on holiday, have a Facebook profile, a jet ski – even get its own dog. Cats, on the other hand, have suffered from their reputation as miserable loners and have missed out as a result. Cat Cinema is part of our strategy to change that.”

With cat owners increasingly unwilling to leave their pets home alone, Cat Cinema is particularly targeted towards cat-sitters, who have more difficulty than their canine counterparts when it comes to entertaining clients.

Dogs you can take for a walk, or you can throw a ball at,” says Bill Rope, who runs the Cat’s Cradle cat-sitting service in Las Vegas. “Cats won’t do that. They prefer to vomit hair and go to sleep.”

But they love watching the big screen. They love watching footage of bees, they love watching other cats, and they love seeing humans being hit by cars.”

There are cat litters under every seat,” continues owner Hayley Right. “They can walk in and out of the auditorium as they please. It cost 82 dollars per cat and if they get bored of the movie, we have frogs loose in the foyer for them to kill.”
