Packed lunch gets eaten by 11am

Lunch News: A cheese sandwich, a pot of yoghurt and an apple were eaten at 11am today, several hours earlier than the scheduled lunchtime.

Michelle Danone, 31, had made the lunch that morning – and planned to eat it at around half past one or two in the afternoon.

“What am I like!” said Danone. “It got to about quarter to eleven this morning and I could feel my tummy rumbling, so I thought I’d have the yoghurt and eat my sandwiches later. Needless to say, the yoghurt opened a sort of hunger floodgate, and not long after that I was brushing crumbs off my keyboard.”

Danone has yet to confirm if she will now go out at buy another sandwich at 2pm, as she’s worried it might form the basis of some office gossip.

“They’ll probably come up with some wacky nickname for me,” she said. “Like ‘Michelle two Lunches’ or ‘Double Lunch Danone, or ‘Lunch Lunch’. I work with some crazy people!”
