TV News: The controller of BBC 3 has unveiled a new dating show for the channel, which promises to be like every other dating show on TV, but with a very minor twist.

“We haven’t worked out all the exact details of the format,” said channel boss Zai Bennett. “Basically it’s like Blind Date meets Take Me Out meets Come Date With Me meets Dating In the Dark but everyone’s wearing hats.”

“I’m still not convinced people wearing hats meets the distinct BBC Three demographic. Maybe all the contestants have to eat a bag of scampi fries while asking potential partners questions about dating?”

“Or maybe they have to stand on boxes and shout questions through a megaphone in Latin? To be honest that sounds like something I should send to BBC Four.”

Whatever the exact nature of the show, Bennett has confirmed it will be almost identical to every other dating show you’ve ever seen, but with a minor change that is so irrelevant you either won’t notice it, or completely forget about it if you manage to sit through more than the first five minutes.
