Mayan calendar accurately predicts U.K bank holidays

Calendar News: Experts have been left baffled after the recent discovery of a Mayan calendar which accurately predicts all bank holidays in the U.K for 2012.

Archaeologists unearthed the earliest calendar of the ancient Maya civilisation within a vast lost city buried in the jungles of Guatemala, only to notice certain dates were highlighted with glyphs shaped like the U.K.

“It’s one thing to guess the dates of Christmas and New Year’s Day bank holidays,” said Dr. Hank Williams of Boston University.

“But how the Mayans knew the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee would fall on the 5th of June and the Spring Bank Holiday would be moved to the 4th to make a long weekend, is beyond me.”

Other glyphs appear to represent a large red ‘X’, suggesting the Mayans predicted the date for the finals of The X Factor 2012 – and another glyph that represents a Walther PPK pistol – presumably to mark the date the latest James Bond film, Skyfall, comes out in cinemas.
