Tom Jones nearly out of anecdotes about people he’s worked with

Jones News: Music experts have warned Tom Jones that he’s perilously close to running out of anecdotes about people he has worked with to use on the BBC’s talent show The Voice.

“Mr Jones is on a dangerous path, there are only so many collaborators you can mention before you run out,” said Dr Brunost Gjetost of the Center for International Musical Anecdotes, Oslo.

“There are only so many times you can say ‘You remind me of Robbie Williams’ or ‘You have the stage presence of a young Van Morrison’ before you get into trouble – scientific analysis suggests Mr Jones will soon be forced to start making references to The Cardigans, Natalie Imbruglia or even Mousse T.”

It’s feared that Jones, 71, will soon have to make up anecdotes about musicians in order to pad out his bits on The Voice.

Dr. Gjetost warned that it’s only a matter of weeks before Jones is forced to say, “You remind me of that time I saw a photo of Diana Ross in a chip shop in Pontypridd.”
