£1 Fish. One Pound Fish

We loved this East London market trader’s song so much we gave it The Poke treatment.

The campaign to get him to perform at the London 2012 opening ceremony starts here.

Please share and RT. remix by Alex Vegas

  1. Actually, after hearing this again, I wonder firstly why does this man remain unnamed. Is it at his request? And secondly, he definitely deserves some sort of reward for this.
Mr Vegas surely made the melody more enjoyable but it is hearing the original that is moving. The fact that the theme is so mundane and ordinary only makes it more touching. How on earth a personality whose most part of their life is spent on the grinding routine of selling fish which are not renowned by their power of inspiration, in a market, of all the sterile places, and still manages to summon enough spirit of mind to sing in this manner when the only motivation is a request similar to how one asks a dog to do its trick is indeed deeply deeply venerable.
Please, this singer’s character deserves some serious pull.

  2. Actually, after its utter trivialization, I regret what I wrote above.

Maybe you should’ve never found him.

Talking about butterflies, wings and fat fingers…
    Life, hum?…
