Kim Dotcom revealed to be 11-year-old girl

Tech News: Kim Dotcom, the internet mogul charged with running the file-sharing website Megaupload.com, is in reality an 11-year-old girl who set up the fake profile in order to ‘become more popular’.

“Lots of people lie about who they really are online,” said the unnamed girl, who maintains that she only created the fake Kim Dotcom identity to “talk to older kids” and that “things quickly got out of hand.”

The girl says she initially shared a copy of the latest Justin Bieber album with some online friends, and within months found that her fake ‘Dotcom’ profile had spiralled out of control and she was earning upwards of £100m in illegal profits.

“I just wanted to be popular,” she explained. “People liked it when I shared episodes of Glee with them.”

“Then I added some pictures I found on Google of a fat German man in a jacuzzi and suddenly I had millions of friends around the world. Then an armed police unit kicked in the front door.”

The girl has since written notes to copyright holders saying sorry, and is expected to donate the £100m to charity, once she’s sold all the Hello Kitty collectibles she bought with the money.
