New Blackberry device ‘will be 100% reliable’

Tech News: BlackBerry users are to be offered an alternative device as compensation for the recent three day failure of their Internet service.

RIM, the Canadian firm behind the smartphone brand, said the new handsets will be ‘100% reliable’ and boast improved battery life and much lighter weight.

“The new Blackberry Cup will make calls cheaper and easier to make – even in places where there is no conventional mobile reception, like railway tunnels or sex-bunkers,” said Mike Lazaridis, the founder and co-CEO of RIM.

The new devices will be offered to all existing Blackberry customers, many of whom seem very positive about the new device. ‘Love the new Blackberry Cup!’ said one Twitter user. ‘Does it come with a faux-leather carry case?’

‘The new Blackberry Cup seems perfect for the user on the go,’ wrote another fan on Blackberry’s Facebook page. ‘I particularly love the way I can use it to drink water from when I’m not making calls. Beat that Apple!’
