Rastamouse pulled over ‘for no reason’

Celebrity News: Popular detective and children’s entertainer Rastamouse expressed outrage yesterday after being stopped by police while driving in London ‘for no reason at all.’

“Me cyaan believe it!” Mr Rastamouse, 27, told journalists, sucking his substantial rodent teeth. “Babylon dem raatid. Dis my car, everyting cook and curry, me na speedin’ or nuttin’, you get me – so wa’gwan?”

Mr. Rastamouse maintains that, having provided his driving licence, he was then asked to get out of the car so officers could search it for drugs. “I was pulled over because I-mouse is a Rastamouse. Dis is ‘arassment. Plain and simple.”

Police, however, deny that Rastamouse was stopped either because of his ethnicity or his beliefs.

He is, however, a children’s entertainer,” said Detective Inspector Carol Rogers, “and regrettably this does often suggest a history of recreational drug use. On top of that we would like to make clear that any police officer seeing a 5 foot 6 mouse driving a car is under obligation to investigate.”
